I'm Not Saying I'm Sorry

VERSE
I said what I meant I meant what I said,
Ain't my problem it went to your head.
Now you know better than I
That Life ain't always an eye for an eye .
PRE-CHORUS
I be doin' it doin' it always ever better
Catch me on the way up, you can thank me later.
I listen to fear less 'cause they said that I was peerless;
I keep my friends close but my headphones are the nearest.
CHORUS
I'm not sayin' I'm Sorry, Sorry,
for the things that I've done.
I'm not sayin' I'm sorry, I'm not sorry,
'bout the man I've become.
You be sayin' you sorry, you sorry,
that the past ain't undone
But I'll keep movin' on,
this life don't get reruns.

VERSE 1:
Look at all these thistles and weeds;
Who would have thought we'd be here?
But where to begin?
With who, what, and when?
The excitement's killing me,
I just can't wait to start this spring.
PRE-CHORUS:
Untilled ground before us,
let us pray for April rain.
The hard work will be worth it,
when the Autumn comes again.
CHORUS:
I wanna harvest your love, tend to your hugs
like the warm embrace of the sun
I wanna work through the weeds, look after our seeds,
and retire when the day's work is done.
I wanna live ev'ry day with you,
see your face like the morning dew.
I wanna harvest your love, what say you?
VERSE 2:
This row of beans is not quite straight.
What did we plant over there?
There's dirt in my hair,
and bugs everywhere,
and my back is killing me,
but we'll do it all again next spring.
PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS
BRIDGE:
Remember those promises
We made all those years ago
When we planted the old oak tree
Like our love, let it grow, let it grow, let it grow!
CHORUS 2x
OUTRO:
(Ben): Mmmm
(Kylie): I wanna harvest your love, baby
(B): I wanna harvest your love
(K): Hey-ey
(B): Hmmm
(K): I wanna harvest your love, baby
(B): I wanna harvest your love
(K): Yeah

INTRO:
(Bobby bring the horns in!)
(Yeah! Rufio! Bobby St. Mute! Uh-huh)
(Let me tell you one thing about my life, one thing I learned this past year)
VERSE 1:
I wear the wrong clothes
I walk the wrong way
I get judged by those dead eyes every day
Why did being petty suddenly become cool?
Whole school of tools legistlatin' social rules
I'm just tryin' to keep it real day by day
Workin' hard, rise and grind, can you say the same? (nope)
Why you tryna flex when you ain't got no muscle?
And why you tryna flaunt when you ain't got no hustle?
PRE-CHORUS 1:
I'm done with the masks
I'm done with the cliques
I'm done with the faux friends
I'm done with the pics
Fed up with double taps
Not lookin' for your reactions
These fractured factions slaves to a caption
CHORUS:
Listen, I know, you're just tryin' to make it
But there's more to life than fake smiles and facelifts
It's a "Brave New World" so is it any wonder?
I'm glad to move on
Have a great summer.
It ain't worth it, don't lose your soul
The truth is worth its weight in gold
(Yeah, let me talk to 'em again)
VERSE 2:
Oh! The decadance! As you set depressing precendents
Media presence full of ficticious pasts and presents
Number of views and pics of who's who leavin' us asking who's you? Et tu Brute?
Constantly countin' compliments causes cataracts
truth hacky sack, heart attack, step on a crack, your mother's back
Whoop! There goes vanity!
Whoop! There goes sanity!
Seven rings, iced bling, extra ranch but bluffing the wings
It ain't worth it, don't lose your soul
The truth is worth its weight in gold
PRE-CHORUS 2:
Why you tryna flex when you ain't got no muscle?
Why you tryna flaunt when you ain't got no hustle?
Why you tryna flex when you ain't got no muscle?
Why you tryna flaunt when you ain't got no hustle?
CHORUS:
Listen, I know , you're just tryin' to make it
But there's more to life than fake smiles and fake tits
Dead the nonsense six feet under,
I'm glad to move on — have a great summer.
(This is to all you fakes — all you fakes who signed my yearbook)
Have a great summer.

SPOKEN
You know, it's tough because I want to stay involved in the lives of all my friends but as I get older and meet new people that just becomes more and more difficult. It's really hard for me, if I'm being honest, to watch friendships atrophy and watch people I was close with become 'people that I used to know' or 'people that I used to hang out with.'
I did have a friend reach out to me probably a year or two ago that something to the effect of, "hey man, keep doing what you're doing with that music stuff. There's a silent majority of us your friends that are cheering for you, even though we may not get to see each other that often."
And that's really stuck with me and encouraged me on more than one occasion. And I want to send that same message to all of my friends: that I'm cheering for ya, that I'll do whatever I can to support you, even if we're all just doing our own thing.

Tell me that you need me
Tell me that I need me too
Tell Me it’ll be alright
That God will see us through
Tell me that you need me
Tell me that I need me too
Tell me that this night will end
The sunrise worth the view
Tell me that you need me
Tell me that I need me too
Tell Me it’ll be alright
That God will see us through
Tell me that it matters
Tell me that I matter too
Tell me that it ain’t the end
That love is true
Tell me that you need me
Tell me that I need you too
Tell me that you see me now
And what I see is you
Tell me that you need me
Tell me you need me
I know you’ll do you
Will you take me too?
Mmmmm
